Swingarm fitment on 72 CB350

It's the original frame and swing arm.

I am having trouble mounting the swingarm.

I had the frame and swing arm powder coated and they painted over the mated surfaces. I sanded all 4 faces down and the swingarm will still not slip over, it's close.

Honda has tight tolerances.

Has anyone had this issue? Any suggestions?

Could you share any pictures to help us see what's going on? Did you replace the swingarm bushings?

Original bushings only has 4K miles

It looks like the issue is caused by powder cost over the old bushings. Is that what I'm seeing there?

Agreed, and I'm also wondering if the originals might have slightly melted (they're often some kind of phenolic resin that can melt if the temp is high enough), so the outer edges could also be slightly misshapen.

It doesn't appear that the powder coat has been removed from the frame bushing area. There's only a couple thousandths gap between the frame and swing arm normally.

Put rear axle into slot and tighten it up a little bit.
That usually spreads the other end a few thou making installation much easier.
The cross brace acts as fulcrum

Thanks for the input. I clean the faces off more and hopefully that works!
