I was cleaning my stator cover on the left side of my CB350 over the weekend and one of the wires broke off. I believe it is just the ground since the metal piece is screwed onto the engine itself next to the front sprocket...has this ever happened to anyone and does anyone know the best way to repair? It looks like maybe it was soldered in there somehow but not sure.

That's your neutral switch, the spring-like tab makes contact with the rotating part screwed onto the end of the shift drum and the ground it makes when the contacts are aligned makes the neutral light bulb come on. No connection to the alternator except the location and the wire sharing the alternator harness there. The green with red stripe wire has a bullet connector on the end and plugs into the curled female tab off the switch (#8 and 9 below)

Ah, got it! Thank you!!

Didn't realize it was a bullet connector and thought the whole thing was one piece. Relieved this is going to be fairly easier to deal with than I expected - some of the electrical stuff on this bike can be a pain.
