This just popped up in my feed. Meshing old school looks with modern tech. Looks pretty cool, imho. Thoughts?

This is more AI slop.
Oh no! Is it? One of the mechs from the local Honda dealership sent it to me. Thought the preso was a bit odd, but the bikes looked cool. There are several videos showing the 'new' 160 but nothing official on the Honda site.

Unfortunately, the only 160's Honda is marketing are the ADV which resembles a scooter and the CG that borrowed more styling from the Matrix than it did from the past.

Here's the first clue.

After that the horrible, jilted narration and terrible writing.
Sadly Youtube has absolutely been flooded with these AI click-bait videos.
I do agree the bikes look pretty nice. I wish they were real.

Though I recognized the annoying video immediately as AI slop, I'm still bereft of understanding why these execrable things are being created in the first place

Who is making money from them? Other than the handful of folks I call "us," who even cares about old motorcycles?

There’s a growing population of younger folks that want to ride, but don’t want the ZX-6 “experience” - particularly in Asian markets seeing massive growth.

The youtube channel makes money by creating content that just exists to serve up advertising.

That being said, in tons of countries outside of the USA (Latin America, Asia, Africa...) small displacement bikes are the norm -- 250cc or under. And the "retro" look is cool and selling bikes. Italica in Mexico, for example, has "cafe racer" styled bikes for sale at the local grocery stores. I've seen a few CB350 singles on the road in Mexico City as well -- they're nice looking bikes. So even though most people buy the small displacement bikes because they're inexpensive and they don't go far, some people I imagine would buy something like this if it were true...

This was very hard to watch much less listen to all the hyperbole. Somehow I made it through to the end just to see if there would be any “incredible” image to match flamboyant narrative. Alas, there was nothing. Yet another AI letdown. 8+ minutes of my life I’ll never get back. At least I was having a beer while I wasted that time.

Here's one that actually is real - albeit an India-market-only model right now. No splashy video, but HMSI (Honda's India division) is releasing a CB500 thumper. Sadly, looks are great but performance stats (28 BHP) are weak.
