Might be entertaining to watch for the end result. Extensive description is worth the 5 minute read, maybe :)

Jay Leno bought a 350F for $25,000 grand (sucker!) and he thinks his will be worth $15,000-$20,000. Dunno about anyone else, but I haven't seen a 350F sell for anywhere near that, especially with a knackered engine (who knows, could just need a carb sync!). Some nice parts though, including the exhaust...

And the best part (for me): "I rode the bike two miles and it ran rough so I parked it for six years... I hope someone else gets as much enjoyment out of the bike as I did"

Really clean bike, but not a single picture of the tank?

I’m curious what he’s got the reserve set at.

The tank is in the video -- looks clean, not perfect by any means.

A lot of the stuff on the list is just, I dunno, meh. The lights and horn work! Amazing! New chain adjusters! New spark plugs! Oil filter with... crush washer? Where's the crush washer in the oil filter?

To me what's obviously strange is that he dumped a metric 5hi7 ton of money into this, including presumably paying someone to rebuild the engine, and when it didn't run correctly he just gave up on it. Why not take the engine back to get it done right? It just doesn't really add up so I think one has to assume the engine is a boat anchor (350F engines to rebuild are worth about what... $150?).

The exhaust system alone is probably worth a good portion of that $900. $15,000 to $20,000, all fixed up, is not gonna happen. I had one for a while, some years back, quiet, smooth and civilized but not terribly exciting for power.

It’s got all the hallmarks of a parts cannon DIY rebuild. Deep pockets, no FSM.
