Is my head cooked?

Hi team, I've not rebuilt a lot of motorcycles and never had this issue before. I'm wondering if my CL175 head is wasted or not.

One cylinder has some rust and pitting that is present in the head as well. I was planning on sanding down some of the rough spots and grinding in some fresh valves.. worth the effort or should I be shopping for a new head?

I would be looking for a replacement if one can be found for a reasonable price, there's a lot of damage hiding under the carbon.

Well you'd have to clean it up to know for sure but that head looks pretty badly pitted and the valve seats are probably toast. The cylinder looks pretty bad too.
So, yeah, it wouldn't hurt to start looking.

I'd check the crank. A whole replacement may be best if bottom was flooded too.
