Since the petcock for a CJ360t is sealed with rivets, can it be drilled out and rebuilt? I can't seem to find a supplier for replacement petcocks for this bike. I would perfer to just buy a new one, as the old one leaks really bad. I took a chance and bought 2 off of ebay. Lol. One had completely wrong treads, and the other was a much smaller diameter nipple. The bike would starve for fuel with this one. I appreciate any suggestions.

Not really, and not with any degree of reliability. Replacement is the only real path. That said, use the smaller one - it’s not going to starve.

I’ve got oneof those petcock with the 4.5mm output running both carbs on my GL build and it’ll do just fine. There’s more reserve in the line and bowl than you think.

The CBX petcocks are riveted also. It is pretty common to drill them out, replace the 4-hole donut and reassemble with M3 x 6 screws.

The body is soft aluminum so be careful drilling, tapping and very gently tighten the screws or they will strip the treads in the body.

If you have a source for the 4-hole gasket, especially if it is Viton, that would be helpful to share with everyone. Honda still sells them for my CL350K2 along with most of the other petcock parts. Honda dealer OEM is always my first parts source preference.

This is helpful video on a careful approach to rebuilding one. Different bike but applicable technique.

To that point, I'm running two 36mm Mikunis (1/4" inlet spigot) from a single 5.5mm Honda fuel line on my 450 as well, no starvation issues at all even with high performance parts in the engine turning higher than stock rpm.

Good video! That's almost exactly how I did my petcock, drill press and all.
