I’ve been hunting for black main bearings for my bike (13315-mc0-005) and haven’t had any luck really. My oil clearances on the old bearings are close to or below .038mm so I’m not really opposed to putting them back in as I just want this thing to be usable again. My only issue is that I have one bearing with a strange gouge in it that barely catches a fingernail that I don’t want going back in. So I’m looking to at least get one bearing. I’ve found a blue and to my knowledge I can mix a blue and a black correct me if I’m wrong. If not I’ll be continuing to look for a black until I’m old. Any ideas for where to look would be greatly appreciated.

Jim (longdistancerider) is the go-to guy here for the SOHC 400/450 series. He lives in the PNW so he'll be along later

David Silver Spares shows 4 Black bearing shells in stock https://www.davidsilverspares.com/parts/by-part-number/partnumber_3233/
US Honda, CMSNL and my Japan source are all out of stock. Eventually Honda will reproduce them but it could be a couple years.
Mix-n-match on the bearings will likely work BUT it has to be done carefully. Sounds like you've already played with the clearance numbers.

Not sure how Honda works in Canada but in the US I can go into a Honda dealer and they can run a dealer inventory search for every Honda dealer in the country thru the corporate Parts Division. Takes a couple of days.
