So our neighbor friend (who is in his 80s) bought this 1980 NC50 brand new and rode it for a few years, and since then it's been stuffed in the back of his garage. He knows I'm into bikes and had been telling me for years to just take the thing. Finally a few weeks ago I grabbed it. It's in good shape- a lot of light surface rust (we aren't too far from the ocean) even with it being stored in his garage, but it appears to be complete and there's no major damage. The air filter totally disintegrated when I touched it and the battery is almost totally dry and has .01 volts, so those will both need to be replaced. Once I get that stuff and some 2-stroke injector oil, I'm hoping this thing fires right up.

Those little things can take an absolute merciless lifetime of abuse and still keep ticking. Surprisingly quick as well with a 80cc big bore kit.
