I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! Im finally entering the final stages of the project so I figured it'd be a good idea to show the current progress. I picked up this Cl350 for 250 a few years ago and have been amassing parts over time lol right now I'm doing a top end rebuild will also be sending my cam to get grinded. Lots of cleaning left but outside of the cam and 1 particular rocker arm we're looking good!

That looks like a CB360 fuel tank. Are you using that in the rebuild? What exhaust are you using? CL? CB? Other?

Where will the cam be reground?

Glad to see you started a project thread.
So I still have the tank but I went and bought one of those Indian replica tanks on eBay ( it arrived and turned out pretty good honestly lol) and for the exhaust I'm going with a delkevic 2 into 1 exhaust. For the cam I sent it to Oregon Cam Grinding at the recommendation of ancientdad and I'll be shipping that off today as well. I did manage to find some stock carbs that had been vapor blasted and I'm very happy about that one lol

Very cool. I'm sure others will enjoy and benefit from pictures when you get around to it. I was really close to ordering one of those reproduction tanks from India, so I'm particularly interested in hearing about your experience there. I'm not familiar with that exhaust, either.

Once I get home I'll snap some pictures of the tank and exhaust for ya. I got a nice orange and white color tank and I really dig the look of it honestly. I still need to figure out what I'm gonna as far as side covers go but I think I'll do that last lol

That does look very nice — hopefully the fit is also good. Have you determined if the petcock threads match the standard Honda petcocks for the CB350? Maybe my eyes are off here, but I would say that tank is red and white, not that it matters.

I was looking at a similar tank with a different paint scheme on eBay, not sure if it's the same vendor. Looks like they have a lot of reproduction tanks.

On my computer it looks like an orange-ish red, but more red than orange to me. Colors are difficult in pictures, each machine's graphics cause them to vary.

I hope the fit is decent, it will allow another source for tanks for our old bikes.

I've been over the road for work but I picked up a petcock from 4into1 I'm itching to try out. Here's to hoping it's a clean fit lol

Update on the 4into1 Petcock, it was not a clean fit lmao i think it needs to be just a little bit bigger so im gonna try the those guys in Houston one and see how that goes!

That's too bad. I would recommend measuring the diameter and thread pitch so you can research your purchase in advance.

If you don't have a thread pitch gauge, they can be ordered online (eBay listing). I got a simple one with a cheap tap and die set from Harbor Freight.

I think I'll have to do that for sure. I'm gonna try and put it on the original tank I have to see if it fits there just to compare as well

So everyone in the future remember not to be a dummy like me and actually thread the nut into the tank lol the regular 16 x 1.5mm petcocks from 4into1 or those guys in Houston definitely fit on the tanks made in India! Now just waiting on my cam to get back while I polish some parts and we can get back on track 🙌🏾
