Fork leak?

Hey all…just noticed a (very) slow leak on my front fork that looks like it might be coming out of the stud screws. Is that possible? The screw in the bottom of the fork is bone dry. IMG_0018.jpegIMG_0017.jpeg
 
I doubt you have a leak, more likely grease the previous owner slightly smeared to prevent rust or allow easier disassembly.
If the center screw between the studs is dry, it is the hole plug removed when draining the fork oil fluid.
The holes the 2 studs for the fork holder screw into are likely bottomed with no connection to the fluid chamber...

That’s what I figured as I’ve replaced those studs on my 74. Thank you!
