Shame they didn't proofread, but it's a minor error. I wonder what else they might have on sale?

Interesting. I sent David Silver Spares a message on eBay:

FYI, you have conflicting model fitment information directly under your logo in the "You are bidding on . . . " section of your ad. That will be sure to cause some confusion. Good luck with your sale. I will be curious to see the final price.

I'm sure you all know this anyway, but if you click on 'sellers other items' you'll see that they have a quite a few parts on sale, for example, some tank badges.

In one of these sales a while back I picked up a NOS CL175K3 exhaust at a very reasonable price, fitted to my K7 with just minor mods to the heat shield mounts.

Silly me went to their website (and the UK one as well) thinking more information would be there. I checked their other sale items on the eBay store this morning and there weren't as many as I expected (47 total items), and unfortunately nothing I need. But there are a few pieces that some here might be interested in.

I wish the shipping to the US is not more than the cost of the side panels or I would be tempted as I have a small rust hole in one of my panels.

It might be worth it anyway considering it's in original paint, and you'd not likely find any here in the US in any better condition for less.

You may be right on that as I was taking a closer look at the covers and the emblems and they are pretty rough. PO had drilled and put screws in the upper corners of the emblems and used 4 different screws.

After looking at my covers and pondering if i should bid on these here I found a set of covers from HoopRider parts in Ontario Canada for $36.22 US or $49.00 Canadian including shipping. Look like they had been painted several times but inside was original paint greenish gold color with only some surface rust and no dents. Cross my fingers they are as advertised and will clean up well.

I've had great success using JBweld to plug small holes, even a rust through. It can be sanded smooth just like bondo, only stronger.

That is what I was initially considering but after I had saw that they had been modified by the PO and I found this set at what I consider a reasonable price I decided to go ahead and replace them. I am going to end up with a number extra parts for trade or for favor points down the road I think.

Tom, they fixed the error and sent a thank you note. DSS is a good outfit. No bids yet on the side covers.

I agree, I've never had any dealings with them that weren't good, even when they do make a mistake they rectify it right away when asked and are always polite and helpful. For a while there I was emailing Chaz (Charles Cheshire) a few times a year, and because of one of those minor mistakes he gave me a very nice price on some NOS torsion bars.

In the whatever happened department, the DSS sale on the side covers expired with nary a single bid!
