Someone talk me out of going to look at this…lol

This is for sale fairly close by for $1000. Motor is free, and has the paperwork needed to register it. What’s the going rate for a late model CB77 in this condition?

If that was near me I'd have a very hard time ignoring it. That chance may not come again.

It looks like a '68. Oval tail light, chrome fenders The acrylic tank medallion looks intact. Key in the ignition switch. Rear mud flap missing. What appear to be original grips and foot-peg rubbers look like they haven't ever seen the pavement, so the previous owner(s) didn't abuse it. I would buy it, but I have a Super Hawk fetish, so don't listen to me.

Looks like a fair deal for what’s there to me. I just missed a Superhawk in my area. Complete bike, running, some aftermarket parts, no title for $750. That bike was gone in less than 24 hours.

Big thing I see missing here is the mufflers. Good pair of originals on Facebook now for $500.

The 2023 Vintage motorcycle price guide says this for a 1968 SuperHawk

Level 1 - Perfect/new - $10,000 - Showbike or new crate bike that is never ridden
Level 2 - Excellent - $8000 - well Similar to level 1, except is ridden for a limited # miles
Level 3 - Very Good - $6000 - most bikes on the road are in at level 3 or 4
Level 4 - Good - $4000 - most bikes on the road are in at level 3 or 4
Level 5 - Fair - $2000 - Needs close to a full restoration, may or may not be running, Usually have all the parts

I’d say that one falls between a 5 and 6, then, probably closer to 6 than 5. It’s tempting, but I think I’ll pass on it.

C'mon, where's your sense of adventure now that you have a garage?

What? An empty spot in your garage? I'm getting concerned now.

That's how it goes with garages, they seem cavernous until you start putting all your stuff in them and then suddenly you need another garage!
