I'm wondering if I were to do top end work on my '78 CB250T, could leave the motor in the frame? I don't know how much more work it would be to take it out, but just wondering. The compression on both cylinders is at 80 psi. The bike runs fine but as it is my first bike, I have nothing to compare it with. I don't ride it much over 50 mph and mostly up and down the Swiss mountains. I've had it a year and redone the carbs, the front fork seals, front brake caliper and master cylinder, exhaust chamber packing and had the gas tank sealed on the inside. I'm no mechanic but I sure enjoy working on the bike and was wondering if I should have more "something" if the compression were higher. Maybe that is how it should be, I don't know. I don't want to tear it down if not necessary. Any thoughts?
