Removing left side air filter cover CL77

There is probably something simple here, but I can't find the process to remove the left side air filter cover on a CL77. I've loosened the thumb screw but there doesn't seem to be anyroom between the cover and the tool carrier to move the cover forward to remove it. What's the secret?

You have to move the pipes out of the way, loosen the nuts on the exhaust clamps and remove the rear mounting bolt.

Thanks, Mike. I did remove the exhaust already. Does that side cover have to slide forward or does it pull straight out once the thumb screw is loose?

The front inside of the cover has a tab that hooks on the front edge of the air cleaner bracket. There are a pair of rubber bumpers there to keep it from rattling, push in on the front of the cover to compress the rubbers and it should release from the hook.

That did it. Thanks again Mike. I'll have more stupid questions later.
