Hope the pictures work, I'm not very computer savvy. Anyhow, after bringing the bike home on Sept 18th, I rebuilt carbs and fuel petcock, changed oil, filed and set the points, kicked the engine over a half dozen times and turned on the key. Hoping to at least hear a pop, the engine started first kick, startled me so bad I immediately shut it off. Then started it again and adjusted carbs to get a reasonable idle, noticed garage filling with oil smoke so shut it down after about five minutes. Added some more Blaster and ATF to each cylinder and let it sit for a few days, hoping to free the rings. No joy, so tried to free up the clutch, again no luck so it came apart for rebuild. So a quick question, where can I buy the offset cotters for tranny, appears second and third gears don't have 50% engagement, though all the gears and dogs look good. I'm sure there will be a lot more questions coming as the rebuild continues. Thanks.
