Whilst looking at CB350 items on youtube yesterday I came across this video of a race engine rebuild.
of interest was the fitting of the cam chain tensioner showing the top rubber wheel has been replaced with a roller bearing.
What do other VHT members think about this mod?
my view is it may wear better than the rubber one but may be noisier.
metallic wear would be minimum since the bearing will rotate with the chain.

About 2.0 minutes in.

It will be noisier plus there'll be more chain wear on the end plates. It's a race engine so things like timing chains are disposable items, new every tear down which is probably every 3 races.
