Hello all, If you remember my last post(s) from over 6 years ago - I finally had the time to tear this '85 CB450sc apart.

Personal stuff got in the way, but I came to a few issues. Had my C. head guy return my cam and rockers saying they aren't salvageable.

Here are my rockers:

L. Pic is the ones im definitely going to replace. Exh side is closest and it definitely has grooves in it that I can feel. Int side looks like its starting to groove but doesn't feel like has (yet).
R. Pic is my other side (sorry for glare), both seemingly are smooth and I cannot feel any pitting. These were described to me as worn.

So most are smooth with some small pitting. But my Left Exhaust side is grooved to the nail.

So my questions are, due to scarcity of the parts - how bad is its in your guys' experience? and would the nicer exh. rocker suffice?

I was planning on buying nos Intake rockers anyway (although I kind of question if its needed on the right side), but I can only source one used exhaust rocker. I found a cam in good shape too.
What do y'all think?

Thank you,

Starmarst

Since we've only been around for 2.5 years the old post you mention was probably on HT.net, doesn't matter though.
I haven't kept up on parts availability for the SOHC 400/450 series, used to be lots of almost everything in good used condition.
You might send the cam to Ken at Oregon Cam and see what he can do with it. He doesn't have a master cam for it but may be able to fix it.

Gary at Rockers Unlimited can likely repair the rocker arms. http://www.rockerarms.com/
The cam is used on all of the SOHC 400/450 series manual transmissions from 1978 thru 1986.
The rockers are specific to the SOHC 450 engine, 400 versions are different.
