Last chance procedure to save a non replaceable float needle seat

I found this on Youtube this morning and thought it worth sharing. If your looking at having to replace a Carburetor because of a non replaceable needle seat that refuses to seal you really have nothing to lose by trying this simple, inexpensive fix.

Agreed. I thought it might even be more useful if you were to install the needle and floats and then test it to see if the float pressure is sufficient to seal the needle.

Hmm does this mean I should cancel my DSS order for two float valves for $20? Interesting! Thanks for posting.

Particularly as the DSS parts are pattern ones, rather than OEM.

I would say if your working with carbs that have a replaceable needle seat, replacement is a better option. That said if you are unable to obtain a quality OEM part this procedure may be an option to consider.
