    Gauge lights

Any one who has been looking for replacements for your gauge lights, I think I found a source. Got them today and I will check them tomorrow for fit. Although they aren't advertised to fit all of the twins, I think they are pretty universal. Even looks like the wire colors may match or be real close.

You own a vintage bike, it really never ends.

Those don't appear to be LED.
If you are considering LED's, they can be too brite for the guages during night/dusk riding . Color temp can be an issue as well. I packed my LEDs behind cut up red spotlight gel (optical filter for stage lighting).
Also, haven't found an LED yet that will fit the boot for "bright" indicator jewel in the headlight bucket. That is the only boot that retains the bulbs by the envelope rather than the base.

I bought a used set of gauges that had been cosmetically refurbed and they had LEDs in all the sockets (no high beam indicator with my oddball headlight) and I decided on an incandescent bulb for the neutral light so it wouldn't be too bright. I don't ride it at night so the gauge illumination is immaterial though you can see how bright they are in my drag strip runs. So I'm only running one incandescent bulb, all the others are LEDs
