Looking at buying a basket case CL200 but it has no exhaust at all. What're my options on replacements? I cant find any headers on ebay and I dont know of other CL exhausts will fit. Nor do I know the size of them for buying aftermarket exhausts like a 2 into 1 for it. Any help would be appreciated!

The 175/200 crowd will have to verify, but I believe the 175 pipes will fit with little to no modification. Wait for others to weigh in to confirm, but I think that topic has been discussed here not long ago.

The CB/CL 200 engine is slightly taller than the CB/CL 175 engine, and there are slight differences between the CB200 and CB175 downpipes. That said, David Silvers sells (sold?) pattern CB exhaust systems, same system fitting both 200 and 175. So an original CB175 system should fit the CL200, and I can't think of a reason why CL175 pipes wouldn't fit, either.

Thanks Richard, I knew you had been part of that discussion previously.

Possibly worth pointing out that the exception would be the 1967 or 1968 "sloper" CB175 (or CL175), which wouldn't fit the CB200, right?

Correct...U.S. version was the '68 CL175 sloper , and the pipes are specific to that model.....(different angle @ head).....

I know this is an old thread, but in case someone has the same question in the future; The CL175 exhaust from 73 and up will fit the CL200 with slight modifications. The CL175 LH pipe will not fit thought. The CL200 one will fit in to the muffler but it needs to be shorten by 1/2" aprox. Also the brackets to connect both pipes are different. Regarding the heatshields, the CL200 will bolt into 2 of the screws. The grey muffler was my old one, it was cut by PO, the chrome one is the CL175. 71572259611__088B5924-D90B-474E-9EB9-A11258E9F801.jpeg71572263340__4EE87F7F-3DE3-4A04-99D9-72E6FA2BA5D1.jpeg

I've got a CB200 cylinder head on a 175 bottom end, fitted with CL175 K7 header pipes, fitted without problems. Admittedly, I don't have the muffler part fitted, but the pipes align correctly where the two pipes bolt together. It is for that reason that I assumed that the 175 pipes (complete system) would fit the 200.
