Had this saved for some reason, but not the one I remember being recommended...

I had the same challenge. Scanned and measured my Vin plate and send it to https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/classicmotorcycledecals2
Guess you don`t have to do the same but just order it as they later on had it for sale on a regular basis for the 500t. good luck

Yeah, the powder coated blasted mine off too. It must be a chronic problem.

I found a quote for a replacement from these guys in my email:

    Machine Plates Online
    Competitor Awards & Engraving
    W315N7685 State Road 83 – Hartland, WI 53029
    Toll Free: 800-815-7850
    Local: 262-369-5800
    Fax: 262-369-0435

I don't think I ordered from them, but I can't remember, or find a receipt or email from the company that I bought it from. I think they were in Texas. Not sure how much that helps.

    Found it:

    http://www.khneisser.ch/motorcycle

Wow, that took a deep dive into my work and personal emails to find that one.

It was about $38 USD. Nice product, too.

Edited to add: Definitely NOT in Texas. No idea where I came up with that idea!

I can vouch for khneisser, I used them when I needed a replacement VIN plate after changing the frame on my K4 to K6 conversion. Probably against the rules, but I have the original frame in the back of the garage, and this bike will not be sold to an unsuspecting buyer.

Here's the replica VIN plate, glued and riveted into place.
