In recent days it was brought to my attention that some members are no longer receiving Notifications from threads they're subscribed to, or about PMs they've received. The answer I discovered this morning is not going to make many members happy.
Rather than going to their profiles to adjust the settings when they received more Notification emails than they wanted, apparently some VHT members who use a Gmail address (roughly three quarters of VHT members do) have taken to marking our Notification emails as SPAM. And it has finally caught up with us. Now, Google is blocking Notification emails to every VHT member who is using a Gmail address.
Though very unfortunate, this is virtually impossible to undo.
