Saturday morning ride.

There is a local covered bridge (Martins Mill bridge) that celebrated its 175th birthday. Part of the celebration was they allowed traffic to cross the bridge from 8-11 Saturday morning. It’s been closed to thru traffic for quite a few years. So I took the Dream out for a ride and had my wife ride along. It’s the first time I’ve done 2up on the Dream. It Handled better than I expected actually. Then we took about a 15 mile ride around the area. Video of us crossing the bridge.

Yeah, that was my thought too, formerly a more common sound in these United States from lots of decades ago.

And the bike is barely over 1/3 as old as the bridge.

This pic was taken last year at another covered bridge in my neck of the woods. Witherspoon bridge. It’s not nearly as long (87 feet) as the one I posted the video of (205 feet). Both are cool with completely different building techniques.

Very cool. We have a covered bridge similar to that and is restricted to foot traffic only. Some jack-wagon tried to drive a semi across it and nearly destroyed the beautiful thing. Local fundraising is trying to rebuild it.
