Anyone have any success fitting non-custom saddlebags/mounts to your 350?

I’m only planning on doing a right side for the CL. Just reaaaaaally want to stop carrying backpack with me when I ride.

Why don't you just get a tank bag? I have one that is expandable in height and holds quite a bit of stuff when properly packed. The magnetic versions are great and even the strapped-on versions only leave the latches behind on the bike when you're not using it, and they're easy to lift up when it's time to fill the tank.

Eh, I'm not a fan of the look to be honest. I know it's a simple solution, though.

It'd be good to have a spot to stash garage sale finds, seafoam, a quart of oil, that kinda stuff. Nothing massive, but out of the way and convenient.

I'm looking for a black leather option to match the seat.

You've probably already considered this but, if not and until you find a saddlebag solution, I picked up a bungee-type net thing to go over the back half of the seat. It's got four hooks that I just hook under the rim of the saddle. I can stuff quite a bit under it.

Ed,

I know you mentioned saddlebags but I'm a fan of panniers. This example is a set of .50 Cal ammo boxes on a 125/175. Cheap but firmly and simply affixed to a rear rack. IF you look at thrift/milsurp/ebay you can find grenade cases that are bigger.

Here's a link to that thread on Do The Ton;

Another option is the plethora of aluminum/plastic luggage available via Alibaba/ebay. I was considering a Zongshen made bike that comes with Tripfella boxes and everyone says the boxes are nice. Plenty of copycats too that are cheaper also.

You can also see a few saddlebag options here; some suppliers will ship/sell one pair and provide measurements. Hope this is helpful!

The only issue with the wider boxes like those is say good bye to lane splitting or at least quite limited.
I use a pair of SeaHorse case from Fuerte that keep the width less than the handle bar width.
