I ordered a Heidenau K39 several months ago ... delay, delay, then they shipped the wrong tire, and now the distributor is out of stock.

They expect more in “late July”.

I’d like this tire; anyone have a source?

If not, where can I get a suitable 2.75-18 tire so I can ride this bike??

Thanks!
Thomas

Internet searches for in stock 2.75-18 tires is coming up dry. Looking for the K39 size only gives me this one but I would call to confirm before ordering.

I do know that shipping out of Europe, specifically Germany, has been experiencing large delays and John orders container loads at a time so he's relying on the ships.

No info whether it’s in stock on the first page for Midwest Traction.

Amazon says in stock.
Only thing I found for K39 is eBay shipping from Germany.

That’s all I could find. Bummer, I know… good luck.

Remember my experience with Midwest Traction and Heidenaus... they aren't likely to have it.

Over here in the UK, 2.75 x 18 tyres are widely available, Michelin, Dunlop, Metzler, etc etc.

Maybe we still have lots of smaller bikes over here in the UK and Europe ?

Yeah, these are the guys I have it on order from. They got me the other 3 tires, but this one they dropped the ball on...

I didn’t think to check; I remember the ordeal, I didn’t remember the name. Thanks.

They readily admitted - but only after my order and their failure to have either tire in stock - that they list the tires even though they know they're not available right now.

Alan-

Thanks for the info / link. I came across the treatland site while searching, but wasn’t sure - the site just looks fishy. Have you ordered from them before?

I also wonder if they pull the same “in stock” shenanigans as everyone else with those German tires...

I have not ordered from them but know others who have had good dealings this spring.

It's an old site but it works so why rewrite the wheel?

Just get a metric sized 80/90x18 (80mm wide with 90% aspect ratio)
When fitted it will be narrower than 80mm (3.15") unless you changed to wider, non standard rims?
I've never seen a 70/90x18 or 70/80x18 advertised anywhere (2.75x25.4) and 80mm is a little bit difficult to get but Michelin, Pirelli, and Metzeler list them. I think some of the cheaper brands also do 80/90x18 but it's been 10+ years since I looked

Thanks guys. I don’t have a specific issue with the old school web site, just that it looks sketchy when the site is unfamiliar to me...
