Cheater Oil Filter Cup Removal Tool

It isn't an expensive tool, but during my teardown I was not in the mood to wait 4 days shipping to get my oil filter cup off.

I had an old 7/8 12 point Socket in my kit that with a bit of fussing with an angle grinder and file is now my oil filter tool.

Just thought I would share for someone in a bind.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Nice job, and it's probably at least as strong as the store-bought version. I may need to make a new one eventually, the tool I have was store-bought almost 50 years ago, has had a short 3/8" drive extension welded to it and one of the tabs broke off a few decades ago but it still does the job
